About Me

Hello, I go by Bunny!

I am a licensed tattooist and self-taught artist currently based in Augusta, GA and I have been tattooing for around 5 now.

For as long as I can remember I have always gravitated towards expressing myself through art, wether it was writing, painting or drawing. As a child and throughout my teens I always thought tattoos and people that had them were the coolest. I can vividly remember myself watching Ink Master (lol) and critiquing tattoos. I’d draw “tattoos” onto myself and others, I even drew people’s tattoo ideas up for them in high school. Senior year my guidance counselor asked me “what are you going to do after high school?” I told her that “I’m going to be a tattoo artist.” Honestly, when I said it I can’t tell you if I was serious or not, but that was some serious foreshadowing for later in my life 💀👀

A little more backstory, I grew up with West Indian influences…. If you know you know haha, but my family definitely recognized my talent, some even taught me my earliest art lessons, however art full time was not realistic. For a while I tried a more traditional-ish route and ended up working in retail, after almost 5 years of that COVID & lockdown came. During lockdown all I did was paint, that had been the first time in a long while that I just sat and drew or painted. I painted two pieces in particular, Rona Daze & EE. EE specifically kind of reignited something in me. It was initially an old unfinished sketch, from like freshman year in highschool, of a mushroom with a pathway that I drew with an old family friend. Once lockdown was over I realized I had been happier in those 3 months than I had been in the last 5 years.

I started to consider and explore ways I could pursue art full time. One day I got offered an apprenticeship but I declined because it wasn’t “the right time”. Maybe a week after that while at work I met someone that really encouraged me to really do what I’m passionate about, which is art. Every time I spoke to him about art or the apprenticeship offer he’d ask why I hadn’t accepted the offer and when I’d come up with reasons why, he’d tell me I’m just finding excuses because I was scared and to not let my fear turn into regret. Before I had already had the thoughts of being an artist full time but after my initial talks with him, I reallyyyyy started to consider it. Shortly after, I decided that I was going to take the apprenticeship offer. My very first tattoo on human skin, was a simplified version of EE, “the mushroom that reignited it all” and I did it on myself...

Becoming a tattoo artist has honestly been a journey and it has NOT been easy. However, I’m forever grateful. I’ve been fortunate to have met and connected with the people that I have, to have had the experiences I’ve had and to have learned the lessons that I have in these short 5 years & I genuinely, I look forward to seeing what else this journey brings me.

This site will eventually hold everything I make, some just to immortalize online others to sell. I’ll be adding everything piece by piece, so subscribing to the newsletter isn’t a terrible idea. Promise, I won’t spam your inbox.

To those that have been there supporting me since the beginning, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much.

To those I have yet to meet, I can’t wait to meet you and I look forward to working with you.
